BOIR / FinCEN / CTA Information
As of 2024, the government's Corporate Transparency Act is requiring all business to register EVERY business to file a Beneficial Ownership Information Report (BOIR). To streamline this process for people with multiple businesses, owners can register for an Identification Number with the Financial Crimes Network (FinCEN) and use this number to populate the beneficial owner segments of the BOIR report. You will need a valid and current Drivers License/Passport for this process. Please upload a copy of each of these documents for your records.
Businesses opened before 2024 must file BOIR before January of 2025
Businesses opened in 2024 have 90 calendar days to file after opening new business
Businesses opening in 2025 have 30 calendar days to file BOIR
Businesses must file updated BOIR reports within 30 calendar days of change
FAILURE TO COMPLETE REPORT MAY RESULT IN A $500/DAY FINE
